Maharashtra State Seed Corporation Limited is marketing its seeds under the popular name Mahabeej. Which has been popular among the farmers for more than 45 years and has been trusted by the farmers in the true sense of the word.

The Marketing Department manages a huge net work of distribution channel comprising about 1000 dealers competently picked through a discerning selection process. It draws up marketing plans to meet the aspiration of the farmers in term of friendly pricing, ease of availability, extension activities through demonstrations, field days and work shops. The dealers are reasonably incentivised and facilitated with timely suppliers, “After Sale Service” and backed up with efficient sales promotion policies. The Corporation actively participates in all the state & central sponsored seed distribution schemes. The markets also extend to the other states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odissa, Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Over the period the corporation has also forayed into Biotechnology establishing its own Tissue Culture Laboratory at Nagpur & selling Banana Tissue Culture Plants, Nursery Plants, Ornamentals and Horticultural Plants at Akola.
